RULES AND REGULATIONS
Jackets on gentlemen are optional in the grill rooms.
No hats shall be worn inside the grill rooms unless the gentleman is in transit.
Outside of the Clubhouse, caps are permitted but may only be worn with bill facing forward.
Tennis dresses, shirts without collars, blue jeans, dungarees, jogging attire, warm ups and shorts shorter than Bermuda length are not considered suitable attire on the golf course or in the clubhouse.
Members, guests and children must be in proper attire at all times.
Men’s shirts must have sleeves and collars and be worn tucked in.
Golf attire is acceptable all times.
Non-golf sneakers are not permitted for anyone older than 12 years of age.
Sandals are not permitted for anyone older than 12 years of age.
Shoe changing is not permitted in the parking lot.
The member-only table in the Men’s Grill can include one guest of a member.
No jogging or sledding on club property.
TECHNOLOGY GUIDELINES
The use of cellular telephones and other electronic devices to send, receive or listen to calls or audible messages is not permitted on Club premises, except inside the locker room or in your vehicle in the parking lot.
Please engage in audible conversations in a discrete manner.
Sending or receiving texts, emails and other graphics or written messages on cell phones, electronic devices, iPads, tablets, and the like, is permitted on the Club premises provided that that in all such instances such devices are used in silent mode and no sound is emitted from any such device. Please place your device on vibrate or silent mode when entering the Clubhouse.
When seated in the Men's or Mixed Grill please inform your guest of the guidelines as well.
Electronic devices may be used on the practice range only as an instructional tool for viewing/recording golf swings.
Please note: if the use of technology is not specifically addressed in this policy, then it is not permitted at the Club.
Compliance with this policy is essential to the enjoyment and privacy of the membership.
GUESTS
1. Members are responsible for the dress and behavior of their guests and should use discretion in invitations to guests.
2. All golf guests must be registered at the Pro Shop desk immediately upon arrival.
3. Guests are not allowed use of the clubhouse or the golf course unless accompanied by a member.
Guests may wait in the clubhouse for the member’s arrival.
4. No guest shall enjoy the privileges of the golf course for more than six rounds of eighteen holes of golf a year.
No guest shall enjoy the privileges of the golf course for more than two rounds of eighteen holes of golf a month. An exception to this rule may be made for a house guest who may have extended to him or her up to two weeks of golf privileges upon approval of the Board of Governors.
5. On Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, a member may have a maximum of three guests for golf and must play with them. On weekdays, a member may have a maximum of seven guests in no more than two groups, one group to play immediately behind the other. The member must play in one group.
6. Club's Unescorted Guest Program Guidelines:
a. Members must inform the Pro Shop and provide the names of their guests at least 3 days prior to their arrival.
b. Guests must call the Pro Shop two days before their estimated arrival time.
c. At this time they will be reminded of the dress code and be instructed to check in at the Pro Shop.
d. The same guest can only participate in this program twice a season.
e. The member sponsor must know the guest, be responsible for their behavior and all of their purchases at the club.
f. They must take a caddy.
g. Program available for twosomes, threesome and/or foursome Tuesday through Thursday at prevailing fees.
7. Special permission from the Board of Governors must be obtained in order to have more than the above specified number of guests for golf.
8. Cash will not be accepted by the club from guests.
9. The restrictions on the number of rounds of golf played by a guest, as set forth in paragraphs 3 and 4, above, shall not include rounds played in connection with the Harriman or Olson tournaments.
GOLF/GREENS
1. The Green Committee is in charge of the golf course and its maintenance.
2. The Golf Committee is in charge of the golf course design changes, the Pro Shop, caddies, carts, handicaps, golf course etiquette and related matters.
3. From April 15 to October 15, on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, only threesomes and foursomes may tee off between the hours of 8:30am and 12:00pm. All play shall start on the first tee, except that limited play may start on the tenth tee with approval of the Golf Professional. Threesomes and foursomes starting play on the first tee shall have priority and shall be allowed to play through at the tenth tee.
4. On Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays, starting play on any holes other than the first, and the tenth with approval, as set forth, is prohibited. Twosomes shall have no priority in play.
5. The condition of the course is the responsibility of each member. Carelessness affects enjoyment of the game by all other members.
For the greater enjoyment of the members and guests the club expects all players to:
a. Replace divots.
b. Smooth out footprints in bunkers.
c. Not climb up sides of bunkers.
d. Repair ball marks on greens.
6. Slow play is not acceptable. If a group holds up the players behind them,
they must invite the faster group to play through.
7. Golf Cart Rules:
a. Observe signs regarding carts.
b. Keep carts at least twenty feet from greens.
c. Players riding in carts have no preference over those walking.
d. Under no circumstances will more than two people ride in a cart.
e. No one under the age of sixteen is allowed to operate a cart.
8. Caddies, when available, will be assigned to all twosomes, threesomes and foursomes.
9. Practicing is prohibited on the golf course.
HOUSE
1. The kitchen will open at designated times as announced.
Hours of operation may vary based on events, so please refer to the monthly calendar.
No food will be served in the locker room.
2. The closing hour of the bar is by 9:00pm in June, July and August and at club management's discretion during other months. Members are advised that when an attendant is kept at the bar after 9:00 p.m., the club will charge those members for labor at an overtime rate for the extra time.
3. The House Committee reserves the right to prohibit or regulate any games or sports which it considers prejudicial to the interest of the club.
4. Club property removed, damaged or destroyed by a member or his guest, must be promptly paid for by the member and doing so may subject the member to punishment.
5. No subscription papers shall be circulated and there shall be no solicitation of funds for charities, etc. unless specifically authorized by the Board of Governors.
6. Dogs are not allowed in the clubhouse, or the surrounding grounds unless it is a service animal.
7. Members may hold private parties such as wedding receptions, anniversaries, etc. subject to the following condition:
a. Each party must have approval of the Board of Governors following a recommendation by the House Committee.
8. Automobiles must not be parked in the circle at the Clubhouse entrance, on the driving range or any other place on the grounds except the parking lot.
9. Members' children under the age of 13 must be accompanied at all times by a parent while on club property.
10. Members' unescorted children ages 13-15 may use the driving range if a parent notifies the Pro Shop in advance. The unescorted children ages 13-15 must enter the locker rooms through the Pro Shop where they will check in. They are allowed in the locker room simply to change their shoes before going to the range. Unescorted children ages 13-15 are not allowed in the Men's Grill or on the golf course itself. Unescorted children ages 13-15 may not bring guests.
11. Members' children ages 16-20 may use all the Club's facilities without parental supervision. Use of the golf course prior to 11:00 a.m. must be approved by the Golf Pro.
12. Boys under 16 years of age are not allowed in the Men’s Grill.
13. Regardless of age, children will be expected to behave in a quiet and orderly manner without disturbing the members of the club, and parents will be held responsible for their conduct.
14. Ladies are not allowed in the Men's Grill except by invitation of the House Committee during evening functions.
15. Card playing is permitted in the Mixed Grill.
16. The Club is not responsible for any item left at the club.
17. "No show" dinner or brunch reservations will be charged if the reservation has not been canceled by 10:00 a.m. of the day in question. Full price for Gala Club functions will be charged for all reservations not canceled by 12:00pm on the previous day, unless the reservation is filled by another group.
ENFORCEMENT OF THE RULES, REGULATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY GUIDELINES
Members are responsible for the dress and behavior of their guests and should use discretion in invitations to be sure their guests will respect the rules of the club.
A warning letter will be sent upon the first infraction.
A second infraction of the same rule will be addressed by the Board of Governors and member will be subject to penalty.
